A couple of days over in Ireland for the Belfast Dog Show where Peter Jolley judged the breed. S Koochie Ryder duly won his Junior class and was awarded the RCC in the challenge. S. Angel Of Harlem won her Puppy Bitch class and later was presented with her fifth Best Puppy In Breed. S. The Kiss was 2nd in Junior. Later in the Puppy Group judge Robin Newhouse awarded Harlem Working Puppy Group 4. A great day, a long weekend but well worth all the effort.

Along with our good friends John and Heather Dyson we travelled over to Brussels with four Danes where Irish judge John R Walsh was our appointed judge. We were delighted that all four, S. Koochie Ryder, S. Im Yours JW WJW10, S. Angel Of Harlem and S. The Kiss all won their respective classes. John and Ralf went on to claim the CAC and RCACIB. Ryder, Kiss and Harlem all competed for the Best Junior award and Ryder was given the nod. In the Junior Group (FCI Groups 2/3/4/7/8) under Slovakian judge Mr. V. Piskay Ryder duly topped the lot, over 75 exhibits, to take Junior Group 1 - what a result!

Great day at Darlington. S. Koochie Ryder was 2nd in Junior but got called back in and was awarded the RCC. S. Angel Of Harlem won her Puppy Bitch class, claimed BPIB and then went onto Working Puppy Group 4. S. The Kiss was 3rd in her Junior class. Also S. Koochie Ryder was 2nd in the All Breeds Petplan Junior Stakes and brought home £75! Thanks to breed judge Andrew Brace, Group judge Ronnie Irving and Petplan judge Frank Kane.

A very satisfactory day at Richmond where Kevin Young judged the breed for the first time. S. Koochie Ryder won his Junior Dog class and S. Angel Of Harlem won her Puppy Bitch class, the two biggest classes on the day! S. The Kiss topped her Junior Bitch class and Harlem finished off with Best Puppy. Great day!

A lovely day awaited at Three Counties where Helen Hankins was our appointed judge. S. Koochie Ryder and S. The Kiss both won their respective Puppy classes with Ryder claiming BPD. Making her debut was our six month old Brindle bitch, S. Angel Of harlem who performed like a pro and claimed third in her Minor Puppy class. The highlight of the day was when Ryder was awarded top honours in the Purina Pro Plan/Dog World Puppy Stakes (Working/Utility) under respected judge Liz Cartledge and was therefore required to return on the last day of the show for the final. Delighted!

At the East of England GDC Open Show Selmalda Koochie Ryder, at only 9 months, topped the lot to go BEST IN SHOW. Many thanks to Gillian Rose for recognising his qualities and, in agreement with the co judge Keith Baldwin, awarding him top honours. Keith judged the bitches and placed S. The Kiss was 2nd in her Puppy class.

Cath Gilbert officiated at the main show where Belg. UK Ch. Selmalda I Am Rock JW duly won Open Dog. In the Special Award classes Jenny Wiltshire also awarded Rocco top spot in the Open class.

We were thrilled that Selmalda Im Yours JW WJW10 continued with the big green cards. He picked up his 1st RCC, after his first CC a fortnight before, after topping Limit. Handled by John and many thanks to breed judge Lynne Donnelly for recognising Ralfs qualities.

It rained all day at Southern Counties. Well respected breeder and judge Ole Staunskjaer was over from Denmark officiating and he awarded his DCC to Chappell & Dysons Selmalda Im Yours JW WJW10, his first, from Limit. Selmalda Dream Baby Dream At Justinian also won Limit bitch for owners Stuart and Judy Thurlby. It rained all day but this did not dampen our spirits. Excellent.

A lovely sunny day for Bath where Jacqui Williams was officiating for the first time. Delighted when the Dysons Selmalda Im Yours JW WJW10 topped a great Limit class and smiling even more when Ch. Selmalda I Am Rock JW topped Open. Rocco was awarded his fourth CC and eventually BOB. Into the Working Group where Clare Coxall judged and following a short list into the last six Rocco powered home to claim third spot. What a day to remember.

It was absolutely wonderful that Rocco won his third and qualifing CC for his Champion crown. With 10 RCCs under his belt he has been knocking on the door for sometime. Chuffed to bits!

Delighted to receive a letter from The The Kennel Club advising that the Selmalda Team had qualified for the Breeders Final at Crufts on Friday 9th March. Despite not attending many shows towards the latter part of 2011 the Team secured a total of points and our sincere thanks to the owners who have supported us during the campaign including Heather, John & Candice Dyson and Judi Cottam.

We enjoyed a wonderful day in Mouscron where Mr. G. Christensen judged the breed. Selmalda I Am Rock JW and Selmalda Im Yours JW WJW10 were 1st & 2nd respectively in the Open class and Rocco went on to claim the CAC & CACIB. Ch. Selmalda Rock Ola Baby JW topped her Champions class and then also won the CAC & CACIB. Selmalda In The Name Of Love won the Open class and the CAC & RCACIB and Ralfs two new kids were BPD and BPB with Rae, Samdice Written In The Stars, winning the Puppy Group overall for her owner/breeders John, Heather & Candice Dyson. What a day and here are our trophies!

This award is nominated by a Breed Club and approved by the General Committee of the KC for breeders with a record of outstanding achievement and is the highest honour within the scheme.

After 24 hours of labour Georgia, aka Selmalda In The Name Of Love, gave birth to her first Brindle puppy girl at 05.30am and had concluded by midday. In all she had seven which included 4 Brindle girls, 1 Fawm girl and 2 Brindle boys. An excellent Mother, Georgia and babies are doing splendidly and you can see by the photo that she loves them dearly. Sleepless nights here for a few weeks as we give them 24 hour attention.

Back to Belgium and space would only allow both Selmalda Im Yours JW WJW10 and Ch. Selmalda Rock Ola Baby JW to travel. John and Ralf won their Open class but he didnt like the judges arm sling so did not progress further! Ola won her Champions class, was Graded Excellent and won the CAC & RCACIB under the Dutch judge Peter Van Montfoort.
